COMMISSIONING ART WORK

Bay Area Trompe L'Oeil Murals:

If you live in the Bay Area, murals can be completed either in place, or on canvas that is mounted on your wall like wallpaper. The canvas option is preferable in that it allows removal of your artwork for storage or transfer to a different location!

The process to commission Bay Area murals is as follows:

• First, I provide a FREE mural consultation in your home to help you with general ideas regarding mural size, location, and subject matter.
• Next, I take digital photographs of the room and house to get a feel for your style.
• We then decide on a price range with which we are both comfortable.
• I then prepare several relatively-detailed color designs spanning your price range; if possible, I superimpose the designs on the digital photograph of your room so you can see what the design will look like in your house!
• You then choose the design and we agree upon any changes you want.
• We then sign a contract agreeing upon the price, design, and approximate delivery date.
• Prior to implementation, you pay a 30% downpayment on the total amount due.
• The design is then rendered either in-place or on canvas in my studio.
• If the mural is done on canvas, I will either install the canvas or hire a professional to assist me with the installation process at your expense.
• At the time of completion, the 70% balance of the total cost will be due.

Fine Art Painting and Sculpture:

AVAILABLE PAINTING MEDIA: OIL, ACRYLIC, WATERCOLOR, PEN & INK, AND PASTEL

AVAILABLE SCULPTING MEDIA: CLAY WITH FINISHES, CASTS IN PLASTER-TYPE MATERIALS AND BRONZE

The process to commission fine art paintings and sculptures is as follows:

• We discuss general ideas regarding the size, media, and subject matter of your art piece.
• For paintings, I then prepare several color designs spanning your price range at an agreed-upon hourly rate, and you then choose the design and we agree upon any changes you want.
• For sculptures, we discuss model sittings versus photographs.
• We then sign a contract agreeing upon the price, design, and approximate delivery date.
• Prior to implementation, you pay a 30% downpayment on the total amount due.
• At the time of completion, the 70% balance of the total cost will be due.
• The painting will be delivered to your home or office.

FINE ART PAINTING AND SCULPTURES WILL BE DONE ON A LUMP SUM BASIS PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES.
