The oil painting shown below is the northern view of a four-panel, 360-degree mural on a vaulted ceiling of a private study in an Atherton, California home. This painting was inspired by the homeowners' love of Northern Italy.

The southern and western views are shown below. The western view illustrates the seamless lateral continuity between the southern and northern views, and the vertical continuity between the Italian scene and the antique glaze (Moira O'Sullivan, Color in Design, San Rafael, CA) on the wall.
